I suggest you use whitelist instead of blacklist, if ur using a lot of apps,etc. The sync version was the core of the program originally before the current incarnation(Freetimesync) and yes it fetches the correct current time according to timezone. However, there's one small problem. I type really fast using my N82. I mean REALLY FAAASSSTTT.. and with this app running in the background, the typing gets slow.. like I press three buttons really fast one after the other and it only types two letters.
